what a feeling

Remember the feeling you used to get when you were a little girl {or boy} and it was either, say, Christmas morning or your birthday? Remember the anticipation of the opening the gifts and the giddiness that ensued once you started ripping like a ravenous beast through the package to see what was inside?

Well... fast forward to today, {and twenty- something odd years later}, and that kind of scene was happening. Except this time, it wasn't Christmas or anyone's birthday - it was our market orders that have been trickling in and filling up our studio!

Here's a sneak peek of what's gotten me all excited...

Do these bright colors get you like they get me? Yum!

As I type, boxes are still being unwrapped - so, more deliciousness to come soon!

if the shoe fits

As most of you know, babies are on our brain. Well, more like... in our studio!

And, it just so happened that we got the most adorable shoes in this week - and no, I'm not talking about the kind that you'd see SATC's Carrie prancing around in on the streets of NYC. Although I do imagine that if we backed up 30+ years, she would've liked these just as much as any Manolo.
These shoes are comfy, fun and colorful, and oh so sweet... and did I mention they're for little ones?!?

Of course, I had to get our best model, sweet Miss V, to show a few off for you. She's a natural, if I do say so myself!

They come in different sizes - from 0 up to 12 months! - and are handmade.
And, your little sir doesn't have to be left out. He can enjoy them also - without frills and bows, of course.

We hope that if you have any sweet peas in your life {or any on the way!} that you'll come by to pick up a pair. They're also great for shower gifts!

Bring your stroller and head on in! Can't wait to see you,

j'adore

I've been ready for Fall for about a month now...these sweltering temps make me dream of crisp fall air, roaring fires, hearty vittles and mostly of all the autumnal clothing possibilities. Having been preggers for the last year {pretty much, counting the aftermath I'm working through now!}, I haven't been much of a shopper...well, except for all the "maternity shoes" {my husband coined this term} I picked up or ordered when nothing else was fun to buy. First thing on my shopping/major wish list for Fall is this GORG!! Italian camel hair and wool trench-parka from Akris.

Sporty. Inspired. Classic. Versatile. Easy. It may be the only thing I buy this season and, true, I may have to sell my firstborn to get it...but surely I'll feel extra sassy sporting my "trarka", right? And bonus: all the fun puffs and folds will perfectly camouflage the inevitable baby spit-up. I think it was meant to be.
